I did try that, but it was jammed. Definitely won't drive without a strap. I thought about removing the hood and taking it to the body shop since I have a spare blue hood I could use for the time being.Have tried pulling up on the hood while someone pulls on the hood release?
Don't attempt to drive this to a body shop once you've pulled the hood release, it could open while going down the road. I would highly recommend putting a ratchet strap over the hood until it's fixed properly.
I'm assuming you still haven't gotten the hood to open? If not, put the bolts back in and take it to the body shop just the way it is. 240 hood latches are tricky to align even when all the parts are straight. With the top of the core support bent like that you aren't going to be able to get a straight hood to latch. The upper half of the latch is likely bent.I did try that, but it was jammed.
