Flew down to San Francisco, and picked up this https://turbobricks.com/index.php?threads/lifted-t-1992-245.379118/
on Monday. Drove it home with a brief stop in San Rafael for some parts.
Had a couple hiccups along the way, standard old car stuff.
Pulled off the bad expansion tank.
Turns out it was leaking from this bit in the middle:
Got one of those and a few other things on order. Long term, might try to fit a 960 tank with the level sensor in there.
Took a rock to an e-code lens on the drive too. Got one coming.
Upcoming: Full Stage Zero including replacement of fuse panel with Wagonmeister unit.

- Wastegate line split
- Car started overheating
- Expansion tank sprung a leak
- Somewhere around Wyoming, it started dying at idle. This got progressively worse. (ECU set a 1-3-3 code for TPS, possibly related)

that included most of a black interior from my oceanside rust bucket. I had expected to help Pinguin and his co-pilot dismantle their interior and complete a color swap, to keep the cargo area empty for other things on a long ride home. But they said no big deal, we've got room, we'll just toss it all in the back.
