In tank pump flow capability when high capacity frame mounted pump used?

On my 760 project, I plan to use the Bosch 200 (supersedes the 044, flows more) frame mounted pump.
Will the in tank pump be a restriction? Will it limit what I can pull with the frame mounted pump?

I am running the same setup with a walbro in the tank. Personally I would not do this again. I would just run the in tank pump that suits your needs.

Presumably the standard in-tank pump can flow a lot more when it doesn't have to build pressure. Does anyone know how much?

Answering my own question. A (20 year old at least) 940 LH2.4 in-tank fuel pump can squirt out 1L of petrol in 25 seconds. Something I found out with only moderate risk of a conflagration.

That works out to be 144 LPH. Which according to the first randomly chosen website I found, is enough for 380 BHP.

The Bosch 200 certainly flows a lot more, and at pressure, but perhaps a better question is, do you need that much?

I'd agree if it were providing 20%, maybe 30% oversupply. But if the Bosch 200 is pumping over twice what the engine needs, most all of the time it will just be circulating fuel to and from the fuel rail and back to the tank, heating it up, reducing it's density and boiling off lighter fractions of the fuel.

Install inline transmission cooler on return line to keep temps down, another user here did that and saw improvements

I can't help but wonder . . . can it still flow that much if you add enough restriction for it to build the required pressure for EFI (30 to 60 PSI)???

I'm doing a T6 with a built bottom end, ported head and a GTX3076R Gen2. I will need the big pump. I'm on the fence, I already have the Bosch 200, but I might just go with a big in-tank pump and redo the lines. I just kind of like the idea of the big loud fuel pump under the chassis..

I'm doing a DW200, 255lph, more than enough for what I'm doing but I wanted extra headroom for running e85, rather not lean out.
