Installing 2005 XC70 seats into a 2001 XC70

It seems like I would just need to modify the wiring. From my 30 seconds of research, the wiring connectors are different, but I haven't looked at wiring diagrams yet to determine how hard it would be to swap them out.

I don't know where the modules are located and how they are wired into the car.

I imagine the seats themselves bolt right up to the body....

Will 2005 seats work? Looks like mounting is different.

I am here at the yard trying to figure it out in 100 degree heat.

Damn seat was stopped in the full forward position.... trying to get the front bolts out.


Seat belt mounting may be different. Trying to get this 2005 XC70 seat out and go try to mount in a 2003 S60 I just removed the seats from. Those are nice white ones that will fit my 2001 xc70, but these 2005 XC70 seats are the correct tan for my 2001 XC70 and I heard they are more comfortable than P2 seats.

The P80 modules are different, the seat belts look like they mount differently, and the trim is different. I think I'm giving up. I am gonna put together a good set of P2 seats for my 2001 P2. Between a pair of donor seats and some spare passenger seat foams, I think I can make my 2001 comfortable to drive once I get fix the soggy driver seat that hurts my back.

I ended up having a fun day at the yard. Left the P80 seats.

I bought some WHITE 2004 S60 seats that are going into the 2001 X70 that should fit with no mods..

WTF you got a golf cart to cruise around in? I'd be so much more productive at the JY if I didn't have to walk with the tool backpack.

I was on foot at 8AM, and I pulled some front seats and shoved them to the front with a shitty push-cart with deflated car tires. Soaked my shirt and ran out of water. I came back around noon with another gallon of water and the cart was great in the 105 degree heat. Even got to wear sandals in the yard.
