I was thinking or the ECU temp sensor for a second.
Shorting the GAUGE sensor wires should be okay.
Just don't mix them up.

How about: Just don't mix up which sensor.
Shorting the wires on the wrong sensor would be bad. Extremely very not good.

I thought that he meant the one under the second hump of the intake manifold. That only has two.
Also, is there a special tool for removing that sensor? It's in a tight space that looks like it would require removing the intake.

Both on plug B. Same power and ground from D4 and D3.

I've a question. What is the resistance across the leads of the temp sensor? I found information on the Fuel sensor, the ohm reading being 0-280.

Temperature Resistance
60 °C (68 °F) 560 ohms
90 °C (194 °F) 206 ohms
100 °C (212 °F) 153 ohms
