late model 240 ac parts installed pictures

I got 91+ ac system that I need to install on a mid model 240. It's been so long since I pulled one of these systems and I can't remember how the components get mounted

looking for pictures of
- hose routing under the car, specifically where the hold down brackets get screwed to the body
- how the pusher fan gets mounted
- how is the condenser mounted - I know behind the grill but where do the rubber grommets go
- there was a thread recently where someone installed a low pressure hose from a 7/9? series by the accumulator - looking for that link

I ended up using the old condenser mounting brackets with the new style condenser

is the 960 hose the one that gets used that goes under the engine from the accumulator to the compressor ?

Nothing from a 960 will work on a 240.

It might be a 92 and newer 940 line that works. That would come out of the dryer at the right spot and pass under the radiator and go over to the late model compressor.

That’s what I read I just can’t remember if 940 or 960

It can’t be a 960 line because they don’t thread onto the compressor. The connecting end is more like a manifold with a flat surface flange and o-rings with a bolt through it that secures it to the compressor.

Here's a few pictures I took today of where the lines mount. The condenser rubber grommets get bolted to the front edge of the radiator crossmember at the bottom and to the sheet metal that guides air into the radiator at the top.

I will have a customer’s 1993 240 in my shop for the next two days. Let me know if ypu need picture of any area you’re trying to figure out. It is completely stock, unmolested and in excellent condition.

iirc the core/hood latch support is a little different. i just finished installing a 93 ac setup in my 83, its still on the lift ill grab some pictures. probably trip on the hitch on the way to the rack...
