I get this might be the wrong forum for this question, but have any of you lifted an XC70?

If you have, how did you go about it, what did you use, how did you like it, and did any extra problems spring up after doing it?

I'm asking because I got a 2004 XC70 and I want to lift it to make sure I have enough ground clearance to deliver in the mountains when it's snowing.

The plan I was going to go with is spring perch spacers, subframe spacers, XC90 2.5T AWD CV axles, XC90 V8 front springs, and HD Springs in the rear, with 215+/70 tires.

Oh, and asking for a friend... has anybody done anything similar with an S80?

I would stick to a minimal lift but put bigger tires on instead.

If you get 1” of lift and 1” of extra tire meat you’ll be golden.

Haven't had to.

I got another three questions for you

I need to replace my CV axles and I would hate to have to buy them twice, will the XC90 CV axles fit without everything else? I do know regardless that I need that spacer for the ABS ring.

What struts do you normally go with?

And have you tried the XC90 knuckles? Somebody was telling me that they sit lower.

There are a few folks with lifted p2 xc70s on the Lifted Volvos and/or one of the XC70 groups on FB. Probably find some info there.

This. I used the XC90 springs, 1" subframe spacers and oversized tires. 2" extra clearance is plenty for me and doesn't require extending wiring, hoses, or replacing axles every month.
