Hello Guest, welcome to the initial stages of our new platform!
You can find some additional information about where we are in the process of migrating the board and setting up our new software here
Thank you for being a part of our community!
Mueller's adapters were for the DIYautotune sensor. I'm not sure if the DIY sensor has changed since the original thread.
Anyone know a hall sensor that fits in the stock VR location?
I picked up a diyautotune hall sensor that looked like it would fit in the stock location for the crank sensor. I figured for $35 you couldn't go wrong. My initial impressions were good until I matched it up with the factory sensor. First pic, too long... not a deal breaker... have to put a...turbobricks.comHall Effect Tabbed Mount Crank/Cam Position Sensor

negativeIs it POSSIBLE to Install, Open and Configure the Values of the MTUNE Software USING the Lenovo M8 Tablet? Anyway around it or can I Download/Upload a Base Tune using a PC onto the Lenovo Tablet to transfer to the Maxxecu Sport?
Really basic question but I’ve done extensive googling and I can’t find the answer- what are the wire sizes in the maxxecu mini loom? Most are a small size- perhaps 20awg or 0.5mm, something like that. Then the power and earth leads are a bit thicker.
Cheers
You’d think it would be, but it isn’t- not on the paper copy I got with the ecu and not on the diagrams available directly from maxxecu online. Weird. I’ll email them.Pretty sure the metric size is listed in the diagrams. Then just use a site like this to cross reference to AWG
Lol, they're just trying to justify the fact they're selling undersized wires to save money.Small notice about cable dimensions. We use Wurth wires. Their 0,5 and 0,75 mm wires are actually thinner than advertised diameter. Sometimes can be issue with connectors. We asked sales person about this and he told that wire is thinner because wurth is using better copper and it meets same nominal current requirements with smaller diameter. And I thought that copper quality is something for HiFi-perverts.
Trying to spark a love connection here....Got Volvo 850 Cam Sensor wiring mystery...Found out the Sensor is a Hall type sensor which is a Digital signal....So, my questions are; is the Home/Cam Wiring of the Maxxecu Sport a Digital or Analog signal wire? IF Analog, can I change/use the Wire (home/cam) to create a digital signal...Is the Digital Input the only way to do this.....Thanks...
What route did you go for installing your ecu? Because you first made a post in december 2023 and now in june/july you seem to have installed it.Any recommendations for a refurbished Device that is capable of operating mtune that also has usb outlet

Did it take a long time to make your own wiring? I am asking because I can save maybe 500 dollars if I make my own loom, but I can also spend 500 dollars for an Engdahl premade loom which fits bolt on to my car. Supposedly takes 1 hour to install as it reuses the original jettronic wiring, you just plug the new loom into the connector for the old ecu.
Saving 500 dollars is always nice, but if it means I'd have to spend 2-3 months doing wiring on the weekends I think I'll pass.
Also, is it a must to install Maxx fuze/relay box? Should be fine with original no?
I got the Flying Lead Harness with the purchase of the Maxxecu Sport...Harness is already constructed and wires are labeled, you just have to make the connections...FIRST, You have to DECIDE HOW do you want to Install it; New Wiring, Using Existing Wiring OR a Combination of the 2...There is NO PLAN Until this decision is reached...Helps to Watch some YT Vids and get familiar of what it takes to pull it off....Not bad, but requires much focus....If I can make it this far, so can you...Some MAKES Custom Harness on this boars so you can Reach out if you choose to go that route...Just be Sure to Inform of the Car and Components and Sensors you willl be using so the Connectors can be integrated into the harness....Once I removed the wiring in the engine bay, I pulled the Maxxecu Flyimg Harness into the Engine Bay and started Separating Wires to be Routed to the sensors and Components...I used the SUPPLIED POWER WIRE and Wiring to make the POWER CONNECTIONS.....My Maxxecu Fuse and Relay Panel Connects to Battery and and Ignition so Power and Grounding Originates there....What route did you go for installing your ecu? Here is a picture of it. For a 2.4 not 2.2 but they are the same.Buy the full kit that includes the wiring harness pig tail. It is long enough to connect everything you need - though you'll need to get some pins and connectors, and crimpers to do it nicely. Even if you bought this pre made loom (I don't know anything about it) I assume you'll still need to splice it to the maxx harness.
You don't need the relay box. I bought it, I got it because it just puts everything ECM related in once nice little box.
I saw you ask in another thread what maxx would be right for you. I think you need to compare all the units and figure out everything you want it to do then go with that. I ended up with a race because I wanted electronic throttle control. So figure out what you want the maxx to run, then pick the level you need.

I even emailed them to confirm and it is indeed bolt fucking on. All you do is connect everything here, add the tps adaptor + 850 tps. Screw in the iat in the intake and you're good to go. Don't even know if you need to add power wires to the ecu as it uses the original wiring.
I'm looking at getting a maxx race ecu. I want bluetooth and knock sensors. Apparently the race is the cheapest model that comes with knocking features. What's the point of upgrading to some ultra technological ecu if you don't even have knock sensors?
Also been reading about people in this forum struggling with the cheaper options. Because they have way less wiggleroom for sensors and if they wish to upgrade stuff in the future.
