MaxxECU Questions and Support/Purchase: Post them here

I have a Mini, and currently one external wideband controller in an analog input. I'm waiting for a second wideband but as their only used for tuning and the ultimate goal is to use alpha-n, I'm trying to configure the Mini to use 2 VE tables. My thought is that this is a better solution than having 1 table and then use 2 trimming tables (one for each cylinder).

I did set everything with a similar setup to yours. If I zero all the cells in VE1 nothing happens. It should shut the front cyl. but nothing happens.

I guess it may be a "mini" problem?

So you want to use 2 VE tables, populate them using one lambda controller, and then run open loop alpha-N?
If yes, sorry I can't help with that. That's not a Maxx specific challenge in my opinion.

I want to use 2 VE tables (one for each cylinder), I can use 2 widebands for tuning, but I'd like to eventually remove them and work in alpha-N.

This was easily done in rusefi, so in my understanding its a maxx "problem" i.e. what table is on what cylinder.

However, thank you very very much for your time and effort!

Good luck, and post back if you figure it out.
FYI, Alpha-N, and open vs closed loop lambda control, are 2 different things. Either can be done independant of the other.

Hi from Italy!
I'm the owner of a 960 with the B204FT, i would like to buy a Maxxecu Mini and make the wiring all by myself.
Would like no know if i need to replace the OEM sensors (like water temp ecc) or more simple what i need to do to install the wiring on my car.
i'm not experienced on this but i'm sure i can do that!

Thanks in advance guys!

960 B204FT. Some how I hear old Italian classic Ti amo in my head.

But nothing special compared to workhorse B230. TPS has a potentiometer and does it have intake air temperature sensor after IC?
CTS normal Bosch 026 (blue), not black
COP with VW coils

Maybe LH 2.4 guys can help?
looked a lot of YT videos and read up on basics, then made some adjustments. Lowered the amount of fuel going in. Disabled fuel priming, lowered the cranking fuel and warmup enrichment, adjusted after start a bit. Changed the cranking RPM to 350. Started right up in -11C today. Warmup was good, as I'm running on ignition timing idle and no idle motor - needed to hold the throttle open a bit after start to keep it running, as it needs more air at that point to. After the engine reaches +30C it idles nice and smooth at 880 rpm.

Thanks for the Ti amo:ROFLMAO:
My problem is that my car has a Turbo Control Unit that is connected with THE WHOLE DAMNED CAR, cooling vent relays, AC pump, everything, and communicates with the LH 2.4, so i think i need to keep the original wiring.

Is there a simple way to use a knock sensor and pilot the cooling vent with the Mini?

What I understand that TCU controls boost pressure after EGT and knock signal. It doesn't command AC. AC is unit of it's own.
E-fan (2-speed) is controlled by LH 2.4 box and AC pressure sensors. You can use Maxx for that with good results.

Bosch 0 986 221 024 VAG coils fits almost straight.

CanBus lambda, mini is rather limited with inputs.

Der elektrische Lüfter (2-stufig) wird vom linken 2,4-Liter-Steuergerät und den Klimaanlagendrucksensoren gesteuert. Dafür kann man Maxx mit guten Ergebnissen verwenden.
Hello from Germany.

I drive a Volvo 745 with a B230FT engine. I've converted it to the complete 1997 specs, including an electric fan and air conditioning. Now I want to upgrade to a MaxxECU Race. However, I want to keep the original fan relay and the two-speed fan because of the air conditioning. How do I connect the two-speed fan to the MaxxECU? And how do I connect the original air conditioning to the MaxxECU Race?
Do I use a digital input from the air conditioning compressor so that the MaxxECU knows when the air conditioning is running?

Search ozvolvo.org/archive for "LH24 Connector". You can also use either of the 2 side-by-side tabs on the back of the cluster next to the speedo, often with a bit of clear hose around them to prevent incorrect connections. Pic from https://cleanflametrap.com/speedo.html

MaxxECU tach info, including using a gutted cube relay for coil "-" triggered tachs, is here: https://www.maxxecu.com/webhelp/output_functions-tach_output.html

had a lot of issues with no start - no cranc sync. Lots of interferance from something. Changed the sensor, didn't do anything.

Went trough a lot of things.
Then tested by pulling the car, well the signal was better.

It was a bad starter bearing that caused the rotor to hit the stator and causing the issues - it was still the original 300K driven starter on the engine. New starter in and no more issues.

Now it starts perfectly.
