For the time being, some plastic flaps from amazon will help keep your front protected. Took 20 mins to cut up and bolt into factory spots (I did have to add one hole further up the lip to hold the top.

Did you install those with sheet metal screws, self-tappers, or rivets?

If the paint is worth saving, I'd consider sticking some PPF on the quarters/fenders/lower part of the doors, wherever is in the path of flying rocks/sand

The paint is like a 20-footer but good enough that some quick cuts of PPF are probably worth it (it's also not hard to do). Good idea.

Mud flaps... ehhh idk I was already considering chopping the butt cheeks off someday anyways and making everything "clean and smooth". Mud flaps seem like the other direction

Slow Sunday here and I realized I had one more little thing I hadn't shared yet.

During the 18 month stint waiting for the wheels to be made I decided I needed a little something extra, a little whimsy for car shows when I decided when I was in the mood. When I was researching the Autostrada Modenas I came across this guy in the Ukraine who made turbo fans for them. They are made from like PVC foam core so they are not motorsports parts, but they fit the bill for hard parking and instagram photos. Click > Buy. They're fun for car shows and gave me something to do.

They needed some kind of one-off design though. So I robbed from designs I've seen online then incorporated the Volvo emblem and Swedish flag colors. This is what we came up with

They are pretty loud, but again they are "for fun" and just for shows and pictures so in my mind it was perfect. They are unique and that's really what I wanted out of them. The covers were primed then painted with leftover material from when I refinished a set of SAAB Viggen wheels. So they are essentially SAAB Viggen silver. The graphics are printed on heavy duty sign vinyl, then the whole thing had several coats of clear laid over. It was all done with a spray gun and 2k urethane.

If nothing else, the finish came out super nice.

apologies for the Shorts format. Youtube said that would be better. It's not.
