"Mr Fredrickson" A B8444S swapped 240 from the UK

Apologies for the lack of content, life gets in the way sometimes. Though I now have a Bridgeport mill which is sitting in the way of the garage door. Its slowed things down a bit but hopefully will help with the progress once ive moved it to its final home.

I would love to hear if there is any progress on this. I have the same BMW zf gearbox in my garage, i have a 240 with a somewhat unhealthy engine, and love the idea of what you are doing. I definitely dont have the knowledge and skill you do, but am incredibly invested in seeing your project progress.

Seems like I'm here apologising for a lack of content yet again. I'm here and whilst the project has stalled temporarily it is by no means dead. More content soon I promise.

Do you have cad files, or templates or any such like, that you would be able to duplicate the gearbox adapters, engine mounts etc for other enthusiasts that want to follow in you trailblazing efforts. Or is everything just made as a one off with no patterns for replication?

I don't currently have any details for any thing. However I do plan to detail everything one it's done. Most things will still need modifying.

I moved the milling machine out of the way tonight so within a couple of hours I can have the car back in the workshop. 👍👍

Wired up the VFD to the Bridgeport last night so have a mill now :D
I just got inspired and wanted to put a yamaha v8 on a 940, and I'm at this point now, I gave up. Neither the technical knowledge nor the country's conditions have the economic freedom as you do :D The best thing is to watch you, I'm waiting, I hope the project continues.

I'd forgotten about this build. Just had an enjoyable flick through the pages again.
Maybe I should start a thread for my build. I'm putting a 4.0 supercharged Jaguar V8 with manual box into my 245

Seems to be working now. This is the B8444 flex plate. Im removing the ring gear to fit to my Mondeo St220 flywheel. First I ground off the rivet heads to remove the trigger wheel. I tried first of all to machine the plate out from inside. I failed miserably. Even with a brand new razor sharp solid tungsten boring bar it was bouncing off the material. it was HARD.
