My 1994 Volvo 940T wagon with 176k miles questions re replacing head gasket.

When doing the head gasket on turbo redblocks you can leave the turbo manifold and turbo if you take out the one exhaust manifold stud that has the small little hole through the exhaust manifold. Once that exhaust manifold stud is out you can remove the head leaving the exhaust manifold and the turbo hanging there on the manifold bracket that bolts to the block. It is the little smaller hole manifold stud you need to get out that stud then the head slips out easily.
