Interesting, the Chipping FAQ thread says otherwise for the 563 ECU, so that seems wrong then.The '563 ECU in my parts pile is original and has a factory socketed EPROM.

You can also just use a manual heater control unit. The AC just gets power from the board when you hit the button and goes through the low pressure and high pressure switch. It's really simple to wire in.Thanks for the images.
I'll probably have to abandon the A/C because the temperature sensors inside the car are either burned or brittle.
If I use an NA car, is there a way to still use the heater later for the Turbo?
Also, is the harness ready for a 4-gear overdrive, and is it possible to extract the ABS harness from my car to use it later on an NA?
