Hey all  ,

Time for a new alternator. I'm considering a high-output one-wire GM alternator for my '85 B230FT, but want to confirm that it won't do something unpleasant to my Bosch LH ECU or other parts.

All advice appreciated. TIA.

A 100amp from an early 90s 700 series (or maybe 900 series) should be a direct fit. It works fine on my '87 B230F 240.

the chevy alternator is free-er spinning.. but the later model denso alternator might be just as free-er spinning.. the bosch seems to take alot to turn compared to the chevy..
