got another driver front door card for a yard this weekend
the original has the least amount of rot but is super faded. The first replacement isnt faded but has rot, this "new"one is somewhere in the middle

Dynamat xtreme, 36 square feet x1
Dynamat xtreme, 28 square feet x3

Dynaliner 1/4”, 12 square feet x3 (only used 32’)

3m thinsulate, 50 square feet (only used ~30’, usage may vary depending on how many spots you can squeeze it in)


1/2” dense tractor foam, ~110 square feet
(comparable to 1/2” dynaliner, even though the tractor stuff is denser)


$239.95+($189.95x3)+($84.95x3)+$94+($117.95x9)= $2,220.2
(with the assumption of 1/2” dynaliner replacing for the tractor foam)

$239.95+($189.95x3)+($84.95x3)+$94+$150‎ = $1,308.65

Maybe denser is the wrong word, I believe the dynaliner would have a better r value. Dynaliner has a sort of memory foam consistency while the tractor stuff is a stiffer foam. Still relatively soft

3m thinsulate, 50 square feet (only used ~30’, usage may vary depending on how many spots you can squeeze it in

all 50ft² will be used by the time the doors and hatch is done. Decent chance we order more, for in between the dynaliner and headliner.

They might have changed the recipe on dynaliner. New 1/4" feels like memory foam, while old uninstalled 1/2" feels pretty much exactly like the tractor insulation (does look a little more even and smaller in the air pocket size so I do think it would have a better r value).
