Rare Volvo parts that you have!

Not too fancy

Are you sure they're prototype belts? Retractable seat belt kits were available as an accessory for the early cars about the same time they became standard equipment.

I just picked up an '89-93 flat black face finish oil pressure gauge. I'm not sure that this is necessarily "rare", but I can't remember the last time I saw one. I'm a little OCD when it comes to this stuff so I'm glad to finally fill my last blank with a matching gauge. Also super early in the 1989 model year production, which makes sense having seen a lot more '89's with large tachs than the '90-93's.

A mate worked for SAAB as a safety/crash engineer and these were part of a batch Volvo made for testing and acquired by SAAB but will ask him. Still pretty rare I reckon though, never seen genuine Amazon retractable belts in my time.

Message from my mate, I got it a bit wrong. "I was testing at Autoliv in Sweden. The guys in the prototype department saw the car. They had some NOS Volvo bits and offered to make a set up for the front. That’s why the buckles have Volvo on them. I made up the rears from NOS parts to match the fronts."

I have a dash pad from a 81 245 DL Canadian model, had a carb., setup. Rare to find one in this condition. The top part has changed colour somewhat due to sunlight. I may sell it if the price is right20230220_161851.jpg

^That one was installed in my parents' original '74 145E... Dealer installed it to the right of the ashtray instead of up where the rocker switches were mounted. Rear speaker was mounted in the passenger cargo panel, next to the exhaust vent.

That's an oem part?! Every one I've seen in yards I thought was aftermarket stuff and never touched. Don't think I'd ever use it but don't we all like hoarding stuff like that
