While waiting for a replacement squirter, I need to know how it is removed. And, would like to know if anyone has repaired one.
Mine broke off at the hatch. I have the outer part, the nipple that extended from the door to the plastic diverter broke.

My experience is that it is not removable without serious damage. The plastic spring clips broke off when I tried. Order the entire unit and carefully retain the hose for attachment to the new one.

Don't monkey with it unless you are sure that it's the squirter that is inoperable. They are available from FCP. now that I think of it they may not be available for FCP because I think I got my last squirter at LKQ.

You want to be sure that you can access the small tubing and fittings that could be clogged preventing the rear squirter from operating. Often that requires taking down some very brittle panels depending upon your model. There is a check valve towards the rear that often clogs.

Good luck

Marty

Thanks for that info; The outer part got knocked off at the base. Water flows through the hose. I can feel/partially see those clips on the inside. The hose is still attached to the broken fitting. So, when water just shoots straight back.

A second idea might be to find a similar rear window squirter for a different car or model ?

The later nozzles are on back order.

The one I linked to is in stock and looks like the one I have.

If you can hold on to your hat, I will be back in, argh, Chicago the beginning of March, where I have a jy squirter. We can hook up then if you are still interested.

That top picture is the correct squirter for sure.
I?ll wait for your return, got some other glitches to clan up; seat heater, driver side door switch for dome light, and one of the console lights
Thanks all for your help,
Jim
