Machine a 13C compressor housing to fit the 16T 18T 19T whatever T and forget about clocking and stupid brackets for wastegate
Thanks

which compressor wheel is best match to 13C turbine side? in term of minimum lag and good mid range rpm power...

is clocking and new brackets for wastegate too difficult to do ?

He's referring to machining out the 13C compressor housing, as it fits on the TD04HL series as well, which allows you to keep the oem actuator and look, here's mine which I did together with TurboDutch (Left 18T, right 13C original).

I would opt to go with the better TD04HL hotside and a 15G/16T compressor. I've also ran a 13T which are easier to find with oem everything for 220hp at 1.0 bar of pressure with chipped LH2.4, which is about the safe maximum on that setup. Kinugawa also sells kits that bolt up to the 13C to switch out the compressor side, but that is a mismatched hot/cold side IMO. Here is a picture of how I clocked and made a bracket for the 13T:

You can actually also just get a 7cm3 turbine with the straight flange and weld the flange directly on your old downpipe or buy an adapter for a direct fit from KL racing
Or even buy a #7 cone outlet turbine housing for HL-turbines like the one on the link below, it will fit directly to current stock downpipe.

There are three different outlets for HL-turbines:
* Cone
*Straigh, no cone
*Angled.

All of them are available in size #6 and #7, more or less rare.
As an example I think Coned outlet sixe #6 is only available on 1994-1995 850 Turbo on markets with 2 litre engine...

My 16T is angled turbine outlet. 7cm2 size

13T turbine outlet is 6cm2 ?

Yes that's also an option, and what I currently have on the 13T on the car. The TD04HL-15G on the 850 GLT came with those, however like the conical housing of the 13C, they love to crack!
Thanks

My 13C from 1997 FK I think not in good shape. Worry about the conical housing crack

My 16T angled is newer and in good condition. Already serviced, balancing the 16T

What we mean is that the turbine housing is easily removable from the turbocharger and replaced with another turbine housing that might be easier to fit to your car. If you are willing to adapt the downpipe to an angled output, sure, go for that solution.

Thank you

With the turbine cracking and weak wastegate actuator issues on 13C, i think will use newly refurbished 16T-7cm2

from google, i find out the OE Bosch injectors is 337cc at 3 bar fuel pressure. (Bosch part number 0280150804 )

i got 220 bhp / 340nm rated fuel chip and ignition chip. by using the performance chips will it increase fuel pressure ? wondering if 337cc injector can be squeezed to give maybe 350- 360cc. If the performance chips dont increase fuel pressure, can i use aftermarket adjustable fuel regulator ?

337cc just enough for 1 bar, but its better if the injectors can give extra headroom :love1: :love1:

go 18T or 19T at least then if ur spending money anyway, use angled outlet largest housing for fast spool.
16T is still a childrens size turbo :p

Fuel pressure is controlled by fuel pressure regulator, you can replace it by a higher pressure one or install adjustable one.
Probably needs some adjustment to software when you do that.

Great

the 940 is automatic trans. will 18t/ 19t cause much turbo lag ?

manual trans is surely fun with bigger turbo :-)

18/19T will spool a bit slower, 16T is a fair match for the oem components. As I mentioned previously, 220hp is about the maximum I'd push on stock injectors/MAF.

Unless your willing to go the bigger MAF/injectors/downpipe route, a 16T with conical housing should be a nice plug and play option with some load extended chips.

Agree with this 100%.

Hi

The original 940 FK/FT is MAF is what diameter ? This original MAF will max out at what bhp?

If to upgrade, usually use MAF from 960/S90 3.0 right? This MAF is 3" diameter ? This MAF could max out what bhp ?

for 200 - 220 bhp at 1 bar boost, do u think original FK MAF is enough ?

Hi all

If to use 16T angled flange, can I use original downpipe ? (Temporary)

I'm not sure the diameter size of original downpipe. Read somewhere it is 2.2 - 2.3 inch. Could fellow members verify the original downpipe diameter ?

If it is 2.2 - 2.3 inch downpipe, could it handle 200 bhp ?

Anyway, what are the factors that cause high exhaust gas temp (EGT) ?

Thank u guys
