Running rich

My car is running rich and I

replaced the Airfilter and O2 sensor any other ideas. Oh by the way I have a ruff Idle but during acceleration

it is smooth

1990 volvo 240 17.4 79.10 mph with just a vx cam. Hoping to have a 16 second qrt mile this

year.
 
The easiest, but not most effective way, is by

adjusting the mixture on the little K-Jet base next to the airbox. I think all you need is a allen wrench. I

think if you turn it right it makes it run richer, while left will make it go leaner.

Most likly the

problem lies elsewhere.
 
The little hole you where you adjust it is right

between the K-Jet and the Airbox, not on the K-Jet itself. An allen wrench will probably do the job, and yes,

right=rich, left=lean.

1990 240 wont have k-jet it will

have lh injection.
check the air mass meter, between the air filter and the intake
