Seat mod for slim subwoofer?

I just picked up a slim sub (VVX QBUS10P) and found that it's *just* too big to fit under the passenger seat in my 240.
Has anyone removed this crossbar on their seat to accommodate a sub or amp?
I have a stripped frame in my garage and it looks like it'd probably be fine to chop it, there's another crossbar in the rear, and a smaller one in the front on the main seat frame.

I may just do it for science, because I have spare parts and I can swap back to original config if it fails.
The problem is that I don't usually tote passengers that often... I may have to take my wife or sandbags for a ride.

The seat bottom will lose all of its support

This is a dumb idea
Get a smaller sub or put it somewhere else

Or raise the seat

Edit Might be better notching that bar or replacing it with a flat bar

I was considering replacing it with flatbar or similar.
Initially I was considering raising it, but I mocked it up and it was obvious to the butt.
I'll probably chop it for the science, and weld in the bar if it presents a problem.

make sure to weld up the other front bar and the rear. Last 4 I sand blasted all had cracks in the spot welds not visible before blasting

You can also cut out a square under the seat support where the foot vents go but that’s a bit more work

I've got an 8in Kenwood self powered unit under the passenger seat no problem, just sits on the floor.
