Steering Pulls Left After Left Turn

Gonna be a bit of a long thread, but I'm interested in what y'all think.

Setup:
1979 244, stock steering rack, Camaro p/s pump with a Volvo regulator/valve in it.
QSRC
I think that's all that's relevant here. No adjustable front arms.

Symptom:
After a turn to the left, the car pulls very aggressively to the left. Like at 35mph it'll change lanes in under 40-50 yards. The wheel is visibly cocked to the left when this happens. I do not feel any tightness or slop in the steering, and it doesn't yank the wheel out of your hand, it just pushes you off the road.

After a couple right hand turns, it'll straighten out. It will drive/track straight just fine until you make another left hand turn. It does seem to be more pronounced after slow speed turns.

Things I've checked so far:
Rack is tight to the crossmember and does not move relative to the crossmember.
Crossmember is tight to the body.
No play in ball joints/inner/outer tie rods.
All bolts in front suspension/steering are tight, including rear trailing arms nuts and the mounting cups for the rear bushings.
Strut gland nuts are tight.
Bolts for QSRCs are tight.

All bolts in the rear are tight.
Some were a bit loose when checked, tightened them all, and there was no change.

At this point, I'm thinking it's a bad rack. I do have a spare to swap in which is probably the path of least resistance, but I'm considering just buying one of the new steering racks while they're available.

Anybody had a similar issue?

I had a similar issue in my brother's 245, ended up being the rack. Unfortunately this was before we could get decent new ones so I had to put in a reman that always felt weird.

Mine did the same with bne strut mounts and no luxe steer. Doesn't do it at all now with luxe steer and bigger strut bearings.

Jack it up and see if the top of the spring rotates with the wheel or if it sorta lags behind the steering.

I have felt my 1990 740 wanna pull to one side after doing a U-turn. I think it's due to a sticky strut mount bearing.

Springs binding and making the car turn to one side? My cut sprangs did that all the time.

There is an adjustment on the rack.(2bolt flange onthe front of the rack). A nut/ lock tab /nut this adjusts the " neutral" for the rack. The one on my 78 V8 Wagon worked loose, almost put me into a bridge. Details are in the shop repair guide. BTW my V8 wagon came with a GM pump.

I wanted to get into this today but it was cold and raining, and I don’t care that much.

I’ll update when I eventually figure out what’s going on.
