Now I plugged this hole I need to paint the bare iron. I’m trying to find an enamel that matches the aerosol that is already on it. I’m not having much luck.

I had to take the oil cooler lines off to get enough purchase to get the oil filter off. It was kind of a pain in the ass. I got the wires on the bottom of the engine (alternator, oil pressure and temp) all done. So I took it off the jack stands finally

I was wondering how hard it would be to run oil cooler hoses the whole way from the Sammy to the cooler. Maybe a pain in the ass? I kinda don’t like the way Volvo ran them.

I finished wiring the oxygen sensor and the gauges. I just have to run the vac hose for the boost gauge and ground some stuff then it should be ready to try firing again

I replaced my throttle cable. It seems the cable is longer than the previous one? I’ve never seen that before.

I got the trickle charger on the battery now. I’m going to try to get the car running again tomorrow.

I wired everything up and tried to crank it but the fuel pump won’t prime and I think the us doesn’t have power so I gotta do some troubleshooting tomorrow

Im troubleshooting my wire job issue. So far everything else seems okay but my ignition relay was wired so it was always on. Maybe that’s why the ecu was having issues connecting to the laptop? I haven’t tried it yet but I have the morning off so I’ll be messing with it provided I don’t get assigned other duties

Ya this car is my groundhogs day in so many ways. I was going to try and get it to fire today but goddamit I forgot my laptop at work

I got this new butt cheek in the mail from Roy. I was going to cut it out at the lap and tack it in. It’s a nice one. The pinch on the inside might be a pain tho.

Regarding the electrical. The cpu gets power, kinda does the two second fuel prime, but barely has any juice on the v ref so I got some wires crossed or something. I’m going to check this morning

I had a bad ground was why I didn’t get v ref. Now I do. I still don’t have com and my fuel pump still sounds funny when priming as if it’s underpowered.

I think I did the microsquirt connector wrong. I think you’re supposed to feed the wire through the plastic part of the connector then crimp and push it back in.

I crimped first then shoved it in. Now all my pins have rubber bits all wedged between everything. I’ve been picking it out with welding wire. It’s been a pain in the ass but I think that might be part of the issue. Doh

You need to release (or remove) the wedgelock piece before inserting the pins from the back:
(and there are other videos too)
