I'm currently doing manual conversion on my -88 wagon. Apparently the automatic shifters potentiometer (triangle shaped thing by the shifter) is required to be wired at park or neutral position which allows the car to be started. There were these wires:

I once read that you just connect the Blue/Yellow to Blue and Black to yellow.. Can somebody confirm this? I would like to completely delete that triangle piece from between.

Also the wiring for reverse lights is mystery. I think that these are the wires for that? This came from the shifter if I remember. There is a switch at the side of m46. How do I wire these together?

That white plug is for the overdrive relay, not needed obviously. The OD wiring for the M46 is different. The black plug is the one you jump, that's the neutral safety switch. The blue plug I believe is the reverse lights, wire that into your new transmission.

The black triangle has a starter inhibitor function. There should be wires going to a yellow or blue plug. You remove the plug on the neutral safety switch side. Then they need to be jumpered together so you can start your car.
Edit: It could be a black plug. Been a long time since I looked at that stuff. The greenbook wiring diagram will show the color of the connector.

Now I got a new issue. I changed the fuel pumps (both) and neither of them are running after manual conversion.

I got the car wired up. It starts but the pumps wont run. The groundings seem ok, and fueses as well. Any thoughts about this?

The intank pump is ok quality oe pump and under car is an bocsh unit used in F models.
