Hi there I'm looking into making a 600 hp to 700hp redblock build most of the bottom end is done already but I'm having issues with the head not having so much info on it usually people use the 531 or they do a 16v swap but I don't have access to any of those heads in my country is their any way if some one has info for stronger valves valve springs etc. that can help thanks:)

You simply don't need a 531 head to make high horsepower

It's about how much time and effort goes into modifying a cylinder head that determines its flow capability

Where abouts are you from?

yes but what are the limits of the 530 head bc im gonna be pushing serious power out of it :spin:

I’d order 46mm and 38mm (minimum) valves from KL Racing, and their dual spring kit with steel retainers. These are budget items, but they’ll help you reach your goals.
Then port the 530 head and open up the chambers.
For camshaft you’d probably want to order a custom one from Erland Cox. Even the kl racing t5 cam would leave you short on power most likely.

Thanks for the info bro ill look into it :)

A cheap b230 making 700 hp?
well a bought my 244 for 200$ with 50k miles and i bought a 740 turbo engine for 50$ the rest of the work so like crank pistons and rods are sorta cheap but yes the car is going to be able to push 700 shes running a maxxecu theirs expensive parts here and there but most of the part i was cheaper to build a volvo than a civic from where im from.

also heres the video of the rx7 with a redblock swap

Does it look something like this with the manual waste gate override cable?

I haven't verified it on the dyno, but I think I'm starting to get up toward that power range based on my airflow. I've got 48/40mm intake and exhaust valves with some upgraded springs in a ported 530 head. I've also got an RSI stage 3 camshaft, but I don't think it's the best choice. I only rev to 7100 rpm right now, and I use a 60mm inducer Xona turbo.

Are you trying to make 700 crank or wheel HP?
