Well, the head cracked and I've found lifters that were starting to fail.

It had a D cam. I'm curious about the F cam.

What cam should I put in it? Any better lifters than the OE style VP sells?

It has to be streetable, I have DCOEs and SUs on hand, but prefer something with acceptable fuel economy in this era of $6 gas.

One of the modern grinds of KGTrimming and see if 60 years of technological advancement can make a bumpy stick any better?

I am tempted by one of those. There are also grinds made by Tinus and Enem if we are talking European stuff.

Check out Agap's collection. I saw a brutal dyno with one of his rollers. It was still producing power at 7500rpm IIRC. Those rollers are pricey tho but he has some solid lifter cams as well.

Given that the rollers require machining cam bearing bores I think I'd have to pass on those.

They used to have a 274 profile that was great all around. A couple people local to me had them in their autocross and hill climb cars. An 1800 and a 142. Both drove to and from all the events and they got good mileage, but also had large areas under the curve.

Is that one still available?
Timo himself passed away over 10 years ago. His son took over the business but but. Few years back they still made headers (the best) and they had a Webshop with all nice stuff.

Timo himself was a legend. Friends like tell a story how he dynoed Swedish rallycross champion engine on a hand adjusted Dyno with out any data loggers. Just by the feel and sound.

Send Jimmy (Timos son) an email? Add perkele some where in your message.
