wiper linkage

well the driver side wiper chooses when it wants to work and I can move it freely by hand, my guess is its the cable but I will start with the instrument cluster and pray that works

Check the nut where the wiper arm attaches to the stem coming through the body (on the exterior of the car, near the base of the windshield ).

If that nut gets loose, the wiper will act crazy and flop around.
Pop the cover off the wiper arm where it is attached and tighten the nut...10mm hex.

that makes sense actually because I can move it freely by hand

Pretty sure it's a 12mm or 13mm nut on the wiper arm.

yay that fixed that part, im still hearing a grinding noise from the motor I opened it up and the parking gear was cracked I replaced it but ther is still a noise, and it doesn't always turn on still.

hi again so I replaced the motor, now and I keep popping fuses I tried unplugging the motor and the horn works but as soon as I plug it back in it pops a fuse

also the old wiper motor worked it just made a horrible noise if that makes a diffrence. the new motor has ground wire insted of it the one below the top left bolt hole is it possible its just a bad ground?

I just went through this wiper **** and it's a mess. The cam off one of the wipers fell off causing both cables to come off. Took me a good week and taking it apart about 5 times to get the cables wound right

Sounds like you need a new wiper motor. It is possible to hook it up to the wiper transmission backwards which will make the wipers try to wipe the hood and blow the fuse.

If you love it, lube it:

Between the rotating spindle shaft and the tube inside which it rotates. Or some sort of English.

I used Mobile 1 15W50 in that small bottle. Though best to take apart and lube with grease and replace the caps.

Same for the rear hatch wiper. Something to treat recurringly.
