Strange things are afoot at the Circle-K

got some things in the mail today, courtesy of Morgansport Tuning. i think this harness is the nicest car part i've ever owned.

also was presented with this -- i handed it off to Beefsma Engineering, only volvo tuning shop in alaska, and noted that it could be painted however they saw fit. now it's a friendly lavender/beige and there's a cow on it.

aaand borrowed something to drive for a few days, because it beats fixing my subaru.

welp, guess i too have fallen victim to photobucket's new epoch. will try to fix at least the first post or something.

in the meantime, i tried to take a photo of my engine bay that made it look cool. it did not work.

It feels good

it doesn't feel that good. but it has been tuned and it runs the best it has in ~4 years, and is on current reg and insurance.

here are some brief clips of the sounds it makes.

here are some photos of it in its current (garbage) state that i did not take. sitting for months at a time in alaska is starting to take its aesthetic toll.

I think it runs pretty damn excellent. All you have to do now is give it some nice little touches and you will love it again.

Yay! I read it! Go drive it! It sounds like a good setup to drive and enjoy, to me.

it's not bad. i do wish it had like...100 pounds more lb-ft, as i have now been ruined by the torque curve in my fiesta and all the td04 cars i've driven in my life. this thing felt significantly quicker on kjet and a 19t and less boost, though i'm certain it's faster now across the ground.

but harald is right, now it needs a lot of little stuff to make me enjoy it. truetrac is already purchased, new tires and wheels in progress right now, better seats waiting to be put in. if anyone wants to fax me like 200 pounds of knockoff dynamat, that would be great.

also, i'm trying to decide whether to do fresh stock brakes and nice pads, or put in the rx7 brakes i've had sitting around forever. i drove harald's car a few years ago and liked the rx7 brakes, but also watched him have problems with heat/expansion -- and at this point i do love sticking to stock or stock-style parts that don't have to be adapted. any input?
