I am going to wander around a bit this fall and get some more thoughts and signatures in the memorial journal for Matt Dionne.
There will be additional trips here and there, I will post when I am going to be on the road.

Please read a bit, think about what you would like to say, and then tell me where you could meet me.

1. DC Ikea Saturday, sept 13, 10am. *NO RICHMOND RUN. Reschedule will be announced.

2. Heading to the York PA meet at Lehman Volvo on Oct. 4.
Baltimore and Lancaster options included.

3. Ocean City MD during H2O International, Sept. 27-28. I live 12 miles from the campground, 25 miles from OC.

4. The Big Road Trip will commence around the 20th of December, 2014.
Lower DE to Florida the long way, as far West as Roanoke VA and Asheville NC. Augusta GA if it works for the Atlanta peeps.
I want to meet people along the way, hopefully in small groups if people can manage. Please try to drive a little, if it means cutting off large spurs from my trip.
After Florida it will be the tour of the Gulf of Mexico. I can wander up a little if a group can get together in a convenient spot. SE People, this means lower Alabama. I can't do Montgomery this time.
No higher than Baton Rouge LA, then Houston. Routes optional if people and cool things to see beckon.
If someone convinces me I need to see Corpus Christie, and time allows, I can do that. Austin is high on the list.*edit: then back toward the mid-atlantic through Shreveport and Birmingham.
* i will not be taking it to the family. I jumped the gun.
We will figure out who gets it next before Bready takes it to the family.

Talk to me, people.

You may share this event in private messages on facebook, but no wall-blasts. Let's keep this from becoming a spectacle, and get it signed by everyone who ever wanted to write in it.

I'll photograph the entire thing and make a list of all who gave graced its pages to date.

Are you going to try and deliver it in person Mike? If so that's damned cool!

Wish I had signed it when it went thru this area, knew nothing of it or the background at the time and that was many many years ago.

Talked to Bready after posting, he wants to deliver it to the family at the end.
Also, the nature of the journal is to hand it off.
I will edit the original post to reflect that, and see where we need to take it. I'm still going, but not taking it to the family, and might not have it with me after some point in the trip.

Hey Mike. You are more then welcome in Corpus Christi. But I think I am the only TBr here. Got some nice places to see though. If not, I'm more than willing to meet up in SA or Austin.

Hey Mike! Good talking with you today. I will try and get a hold of the old Richmond Crew and if there is any new ones. If I can't get enough Richmond people I will save you the trouble of a Richmond stop and make my way to VA beach because I know there is a few guys there . I am happy to sign this book. It's an amazing journey it's been on and such a story. You have my number so talk to you soon.

The Ikea Meet on Saturday ended up being the broke-down-on-Cherry-Hill-Lane-and-a-WRX/IH Traveall-Tow-To-The-Back-of-Home-Depot Meet. I will let Mike and/or Paul explain. We have pics! I read through Matt's Journal before making my entry in it. Very touched and impressed. I did not know Matt, I think I was absent from the board during that time period. I think it was Superboosted (PA) who had the nicest, easiest to read handwriting in the journal.

Yep, it was a perfect T-Bricks meet. Tow rope, turbo, burning clutch, dumpsters, and rain.
Steve and Paul are two of my oldest and best T-Bricks people, in terms of years known, age, and proper shens/wampum/cobbling interaction.
No meatballs, but I got to teach Paul a little about mechanicsl fuel pumps. And the Greek food was good. And Barb taught me more sign language.

I was trying to get MP to burn rubber instead of clutch because I've never seen a 4 wheel burnout in person. In the end a 3100 lb wagon pulling a 7,000 lb truck up what may have been close to a 20 degree incline was an impressive sight. Having a kinetic recovery rope helps a little but the little-clutch-that-could burned off a few engagements from the end of its life span. Good thing Mike's road trips have lots of shiftless highway miles.

First time i had seen the journal and I too was impressed by the entries. Thanks to all who have contributed over the years.

Our "in front of the Ikea to the behind the Home Depot" meet was short but sweet and cut short by rain. Sorry I missed the Greek eats.

talked to brandon (242245) he said you were coming to VA beach around December if i remember correctly. im sure we can get some people round up to get a decent size meet.

Thread started for suggestions on stuff to see, with a route roughed out:
