Hello Guest, welcome to the initial stages of our new platform! You can find some additional information about where we are in the process of migrating the board and setting up our new software here
Not mine anymore. He said he'd call me first if they decide to sell it, but I highly doubt I'll want it back. I'm done with Volvos for a while and I'd imagine there will be a noticeable difference in the condition of it from how it left my possession, even if it's only in a year or two.
:edit...
Problem is, you can't just turn a knob and set the EBC to XX psi, you have to set gate pressure, duty cycle on the solenoid, etc. They don't even know what any of that is, they probably barely even know what a turbo psi is.
Well, the car is gone and sent home with the new owners. I was told by the husband who came to get it, that basically his wife was looking for a "pretty 80s/90s Volvo" to daily drive. I got a strong feeling that even though everything was spelled out very clearly in the auction and chat on BaT...
Thanks everyone! The new owner will be coming tomorrow to pick the car up. I started pulling all my extra parts and spares out of the basement and staging them in the garage, and I gotta admit... it's kinda surreal. Going through my parts bins and I have stuff dating back to my old 744T and even...
Haha, yep these 9 series are underappreciated gems, but they might not be for long. It make sense that 240s caught on first since they're so iconic, but hopefully some have realized that you can have a classic, boxy RWD Volvo that has some sizzle already baked in.
As far as what comes next, not...
I've been close to pulling the trigger on a Forge FMDVRMR (great marketing, just rolls off the tongue, right?) CBV for years, but just couldn't justify the nearly $200 price. The other day I got bored and jumped on ebay and did a search and what do you know, there was one listed as "new, other"...
Sooo, put the car in a show over the weekend and I figured I'd change the oil and get it all cleaned up. First off, writing down the oil change I noted that I've only driven it 480 miles in the last 2 years. I had to broom the bottom in a couple spots to knock the cobwebs off.
Next I wanted to...
Still have the wagon, but I've put out some feelers to people that have inquired in the past about buying it. I've just lost passion in working on cars and it's not getting driven. For the right price, I'd definitely be open to moving on.
I also picked up Manbeard's 06 Tundra recently...
Haven't been here much lately. Still no M90 swap, kinda given up on that for right now. Lately my spare time is spent on either my kids or mountain biking. Or mountain biking with my kids.
Haven't driven the car much this year, but I have been messing with it a bit more lately. Learning a bit...
Picked this up for a song over the weekend:
2 owner 1995 945, na w/ 299k miles. The guy sent out an email to the local VCOA chapter saying he had a high mileage 945 with goodies on it that he was wanting to be rid of. The goodies alone were enough for me to inquire about. Propus wheels...
Finally got some good pictures of my wagon with the new shoes. Specs: BBS RG-R, 17x8, forged, ~17lbs each, 5x120, et40, 22mm front adapters & 28mm rear adapters. Tires are 225-45-17 Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I'm pretty happy with the new setup.
