850 iPd springs?

I'm about to replace the suspension on my 850 and I'm torn on whether or not to order iPd springs. I'm absolutely terrified they're going to make my car too much lower than it already is. The rear springs absolutely need replacing and the fronts are fairly mushy so it's either iPd or "pro-parts" (scam-tech?) all the way around.

I already scoop gravel into the plastic belly pan when I back into my driveway too fast and I scrape going in to some driveways if there's a dip right before the entry. It's definitely low enough already for a "safe family car".

I'm running S60T5 wheels (205/55/16 factory) which are 0.7" taller than the stock 195/60/15's and I get moderate rubbing on nearly full lock. I intend to do something about the steering stops in the near future.

Based on the very few and poorly angled installed photos on iPd's website, it looks like my ride height won't change a bit, honestly. I would really like to see if any of you all have photos of your wrong wheel drive cars to share if you have unmodified iPd springs (and maybe even 205/55's!)

FWIW, I know this is more a Volvospeed thing, and I've attempted many Google searches (which all go right back to VS) but that website is either broken today or I'm unable to view it entirely. Plus I hate it. The layout, the navigation, the people.. ugh. I just want to know what uncut ipd springs look like on a sedan and it would be awesome if that sedan had 205/55/16s :)

Ipdusa.com lowering springs are the lowest you can go with sprigs. Lower than that would require coilovers.
if you would like good ride height and comfort I believe h/r are the best. But for lowering a little eibachs are the best and not too low.
in my opinion/experience I've had all the springs available including fcp euro spring. Ride height starting from highest to lowest would be
Eibach,h/r, fcp,ipd
hope this helps

Why is it a "VS" thing, do you mean owning 850's? The VS crowd has moved on to the P2 platform because well, that's what their parents gave them when they went to college nowadays. VS is simple to navigate, your are probably bringing up archived/lock threads.

It sounds like you have a ****ty driveway, or you should level your gravel. You own an 850, which we all know has a massive front end overhang, before any lowering and w/o an R bumper. Do you plan to add material to the steering stop, so you don't scrape your wheel wells, and make your turning radius worse? How about not going full lock when turning?

850's came with 16'' wheels from the factory, so I don't know why you think your wheel switch to the S60 wheels made a difference.

The iPD springs are not for you it seems. Get some Eibach and Bilstein T/C's

The driveway does suck, Eric. I've asked the landlord many times to bring me gravel and I'd spread it for free. I'm just not going to spend money on maintaining someone else's ****.

I was thinking more like replacing the control arms. I'll get a better feel for a fix once I'm more well acquainted with them condition wise. I rarely rub just from driving/parking because I'm used to it. I'm chiefly concerned for the instances when I'm not driving.

850 turbos absolutely came with 16s, in two flavors apparently. A 50 series and a 55. Mine didn't, nor is it a turbo. I was under the impression the 16s had just a 50 profile listed.

As far as the green 850 above, I think my car is about the same height in the front and just a little taller in the rear. It doesn't look TOO low by any means.. looks perfect honestly.

That green car has 17's on it just so you know. I had some massive (quite a lot taller and wider than stock) tires on my 16's and they rubbed on everything.

I'm pretty sure the Titans came with 205/45/17s from the factory? Those might be 215/45's or so... Maybe MikeJr can give some insight on the true profile.

205/45/17 = 24.3
215/45/17 = 24.6
205/55/16 = 24.9

They kinda look like 215's but I can't be sure. If they are I thiiiink my 16's would do pretty well with the 55 series tire. If they're 205/45's then I think I'm gonna run out of room or be too close for comfort.

Thanks for all the replies, guys! Been super helpful and I'm looking in to all the spring choices before pulling the trigger. I know it's a "family" car but I'd still like to enjoy it without going too crazy on suspension.

Thanks again for the insight, I'm gonna order H&Rs. Appreciate it fellas!

I kinda thought they looked a bit big for titans..

So they're a little over an inch shorter than 205/55/16s. Good to know, thank you! I think with all the advice and information here so far H&R should be a good aftermarket choice.

Thanks again guys!
