Took mine to Discount Tire down the street for top nuts
Just did my struts and top mounts/bearings this Saturday. Had to take the car over to Discount Tire just a walk down the street away. The manager Kevin told me bring the car in to the last bay and he'd pull the air hose and impact wrench over. He hit the nut about 4 seconds each with the 15/16 socket and they losened several turns. I then drove it home, less than 1/8 of a mile away. Finished the job with my two piece strut nut tool from harbor freight tools ($24). See my blog link below for more details. When you come to the strut cartridge glan nut/collar nut, the brass one about 3 inch in diameter, you may need to tap it around with a hammer and punch to remove and use some Big channel lock type wrench to tighten the new one. Got mine at Sears for $20.
