Viragos or steeliness for a road Trip?

I'm getting my wagon ready for a possible cross country road trip and I have some heavy aftermarket 16"s on it. I have a pair of virgos already but was wondering if I should pick up some steeliness to possibly save some weight. The car has heavy duty springs and sits a bit higher than stock. Also what size tire would you recommend? Brand? Do all the thinking for me?
