Anyone reccomend to me pick n pulls and junk yards in the sacramento and outlying area to find some good volvo treasures?

i was just up there and went to the one near the air field the autocross was at. there was pretty much nothing as volvos go. i know theres a volvo specific one within the same area. they are over priced and i believe they pull the parts for you.....

Rancho

Have to be desperate to go w/ PnP though. Prices 'taint what they used to be.

Volvo and Saab dismantlers is what nx3xo is referring to, and for them you have to be really desperate.

Unfortunately, that's pretty much what it boils down to. Rancho Cordova is good for finding parts, but they are now pretty expensive.... I think there's some Pick n pull's in Rocklin, Antelope, etc, but they're gonna be the same price.
It's getting to a point where I just call FCPgroton and have new parts delivered to my door... They local JYs/Pick yer noses have core fees, disposal fees, bs fees, tax, more fees, all on top of overpriced stuff... oh and not to mention an informal $30 min purchase per customer (i hear that's one of their employee goals)

Uh huh? The pick n pull in Rancho Cordova, about 2 miles from the autocross, had a nice supply of 240s, 700/900s, 850s, and even a 140 or two when I stopped there on autocross day.

Or you can check the full-service Volvo/Saab dismantler in Rancho Cordova if you want to pay top dollar for used stuff. I called them asking about a 740T in-tank pump, they quoted $65. Yikes. A new aftermarket one is like $56. They wouldn't budge... Sorry, but a 20+ year old "original" pump is not worth a third of that. Lucky me... my pump just had a broken wire.

Yea, whenever i go to the Rancho yard our Volvo stuff isn't too hard to come by. They rearranged the yard a few months ago. When i was there a few months ago they had Volvs in two areas. I don't think there's too many people plucking Volv stuff.... Regardless, the stuff is still kinda pricey for what it is... especially if i have to pluck the stuff myself!
