Does anyone have an idea how best to attach pipe to can? The alu is real thin so it will blow through like when the drain on the bottom was welded.

That's a great way to install stealth catch can that a casual observer will not even notice, as long as it's put back by the firewall where it normally is when it's an AC accumulator.

I've been wondering why no one has used an accumalator to make a catch can. It should make for a good one IMO. And cheap at JY too.

Is there "dessicant" in the accumaltor? Or is it "empty"? I have one I took off my 91 240, maybe Ill take a look see,

any good alum tig welder can weld to that can. its easier than you think. if you cant find one or a way. mail it to me and il do it.

i have welded the bottoms of pop cans together before! the sides of a can are just to thin to stabalize an arc.

First I cut it apart, and pulled the bag out. Then I cut about 3" off the u shaped tube. Next I drilled 1/4" holes in the tube, and stuffed the top portion with ss scrubbers. (dollar store)

For attaching the pipe, I was looking for some a little less intense, than welding. Does silver solder work with aluminum?
